The countdown is on …
… just a few more hours, and then we’ll kick off Advent in our very own special way—with soulful music and the unmistakable CK Voice Lessons style.
Event details: Saturday, December 2, 2017; Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; Show starts at 7:30 p.m.; Fritz-Haake-Saal – Ricklinger Stadtweg 1, 30459 Hanover
A telling statistic:
We have
– nearly 100 hours on the phone
– rehearsed about 200 hours of singing (counting all participants combined)
– held three ensemble rehearsals
– 50 hours of brainstorming
– worked on bringing it to fruition for three months
– Gave interviews
– Thousands of words written
– sweated about 500 liters from excitement and dedication
The Show
– two hours of Motown hits and big band classics
– 77 crew members, from the backline to security, make it all possible
– 39 performers will perform 30 songs
– accompanied by the 20-member big band of the University of Music, Drama, and Media in Hanover
The dress rehearsal took place last night. Everyone was fully focused on the task at hand. Getting a big band to play in sync with the singers can be a challenge. But almost everything went smoothly; the excitement was palpable, the show is all set—let’s get this party started! We’re looking forward to seeing all the guests coming to the 2017 Christmas Concert today. And (!) we’ve come up with another surprise—you’ll have to wait and see.
Now, on a personal note: I hope everyone slept well and is ready for the show! What basics and tricks does Carl teach at the start of every coaching session? Of course, everything you need for effective breathing! So take a deep breath—you’re TOP-NOTCH and ready to go. As your resident writer, I’d like to wish everyone involved a fantastic show from the bottom of my heart—have fun—MAKE THEM DANCE!
Good luck! — Your text performer 😉 Claudia and the CK Voice Lessons Team
