Noam - Vocal coach and singing teacher

Noam (Vocal coach and singing teacher) grew up in the liberal and vibrant Tel Aviv of the 1990s. Just two blocks from the beach, with the sea within earshot and within smell’s reach. "We kids always played outside; it was very multicultural and friendly."

Her love of music began when she was just six years old. Whenever Noam saw a piano, she would play it, sometimes for hours on end. Her father loves guitars and has been collecting them for as long as Noam can remember. Since there wasn’t room for a piano, the guitar became her first instrument, followed by her voice.

Noam starts learning to play the guitar at age 12. Even then, she already wants to tell stories. Writing songs is a very strong urge for her.

Noam will soon be taking part in her first school concerts. Her school relies on lip-synced performances, so everything is recorded in advance in a studio. Noam records the song she’s supposed to perform in one take and immediately amazes the studio crew. Her playful exploration of music over all those previous years seems to have paid off. She was simply talented, or so it seemed—but at the very least, she had a lot of fun doing it.

"I did what I was asked to do. Apparently, people liked it. I was just surprised—I didn't realize it was such a special achievement."

Noam has always sung; she always thought it was cool, as she says. But it wasn't until a decade later that she realized her voice sounded beautiful.

At 23, after a brief stint in Miami (USA), Noam lives in Madrid, Spain. The economic crisis forced her to stay home; there were hardly any jobs. It gave her the opportunity to focus on music and immerse herself in it completely.
Shows like *American Idol* are constantly on TV. She is so impressed by some of the contestants' singing that she starts practicing her voice at home, all by herself.

"I felt like singing—at least half as well as the people on American Idol."

Amy Winehouse, Ella Fitzgerald, and Marvin Gaye are musical influences that can still be heard in their own recordings today.
A year later: Noam is still singing. With passion. So she starts taking singing lessons.

But what’s far more important is that she’s immersing herself in songwriting again. She feels comfortable with her own songs. Recording what she likes is the logical next step. This leads her into the music scene, where she makes connections and eventually records her first songs at a recording studio in Madrid—songs like "Fade Into The Background" and "Burned.".

She returns to Tel Aviv, works full-time, and networks with music producers on the side. Noam is considering moving to London to study music. However, one message runs through all the conversations: "The music scene is in Berlin; London is ‘dead‘." (Note: no longer relevant).
