Lea (Vocal coach and singing teacher) She grew up in a very musical family; the main focus was on having fun. You could say the early bird catches the worm, or something like that—because Lea was already singing in a choir when she started school. She also plays the guitar and piano, but singing has always been the most important thing to her. When asked when she first realized that singing could be just as interesting as a career, she replies: „There wasn’t one specific moment… or maybe there was?“ Because at age eleven, she took part in a musical theater workshop in Hamburg. The well-known blues and rock singer Jessy Martens was her vocal coach there. It was Jessy who told her mother that her daughter should be encouraged to pursue her talent.
And after recording her first demos at age 16—featuring only her own songs—she garnered recognition from a major label.
Still, almost every adult singer faces the question at least once: Is singing really a career with a future? Shortly after graduating from high school, she was already giving private singing lessons, which made it easier for Lea to keep singing as a career option. „I thought to myself, it would be a cowardly move on my part not to turn singing—my greatest passion—into a career.“
So what is it that Lea enjoys most about teaching? She really enjoys seeing the progress her students make, as she puts it.
„I like to show my students what skills they have hidden within them—for example, when I know for sure that there are only a few months left, and their range has expanded incredibly.“
In 2016, she took further training in the pop music program at the Hamburg University of Music and found musicians for her band. Afterward, Lea studied popular music at the University of Music, Drama, and Media in Hanover. By her third semester, she had already begun teaching voice again.

In 2019, she released the EP of the same name with her own band, Trees On Concrete (with a rotating lineup).
In 2021, she made her solo debut with the track “Work Of Art” as part of the Culture Declares art project against climate change.
She has been working as a coach at the CK Voice Academy since fall 2021. A singer with such a passion for teaching—absolutely obsessed with music (in a good way, of course)—not to mention an irrepressible drive and a great deal of sensitivity, she fits perfectly into the CK Voice family.
„Music is meant to be fun. Pressure to perform is counterproductive. Challenge, yes, but don’t overwhelm.“ That’s her motto. If you don’t set the bar too high, success comes much faster. Challenging students without overwhelming them—and, above all, having lots of fun—are important, because you can hear the difference.
