Our general terms and conditions apply to our rehearsal and individual lessons, as well as group lessons, choir and online lessons
1. registration:Â
We look forward to your registration for a trial lesson, private lessons or group lessons. Registration is usually done by telephone, email or via our registration form.
2nd appointment:Â
The lesson date will be confirmed by us in writing and is therefore binding. Deviations are possible by arrangement, as long as they can be taken into account in the coach's planning.
3. teaching process:Â
Lessons will take place for the duration, lesson status and frequency specified in the agreement with Carl Keaton or one of the CK Voice Lessons coaches on site at the CK Voice Academy or via online lessons using FaceTime, Skype, Zoom or similar platforms. The student is responsible for the functionality of his/her technology and internet connection and confirms with the purchase that he/she meets the technical requirements for Online Voice Lessons.Â
4. student failure:Â
If the student does not attend lessons due to short-term illness, vacation or other reasons, there is no entitlement to reimbursement/reduction of payment, rescheduling or making up missed lessons.
5. failure coach:Â
If the coach is unavailable, either a replacement coach will be provided or the canceled lesson will be made up at a later date. Reimbursement of fees is excluded.
6. vacations and public vacations:Â
Up to 36 weekly units per year are offered as individual or group lessons. There are no classes on holidays, long weekends, or during Lower Saxony’s school breaks. This is already factored into the monthly fee.
7. payment:Â
Payment for individual or group lessons must be made in advance, no later than the first business day of the respective month, via SEPA direct debit *or standing order (*applies only to participants from Switzerland) to our CK Voice Lessons account. Alternative payment methods are not available. In accordance with Section 4 No. 21 a) bb) of the Value-Added Tax Act, our prices do not include VAT. Furthermore, CK Voice Lessons is entitled to increase fees by a reasonable amount with one month’s notice. In such a case, the student has the option to terminate this agreement extraordinarily within two weeks of receiving this notice.“
8. Minimum Contract Term and Termination:
The contract has a minimum term of 6 months.
Notice of termination must be given in writing (e.g., by email or using the termination form on the website) no later than 4 weeks before the end of this minimum term https://ckvoicelessons.de or by mail) to CK Voice Lessons. The date of receipt of the notice of cancellation by CK Voice Lessons determines whether the notice was given in a timely manner.
If the contract is not terminated by the end of the minimum term, it will continue for an indefinite period.
A contract that continues indefinitely may be terminated by either party at any time by providing 4 weeks' written notice.
9. deviations:Â
Deviating agreements must be made in writing. Should one of the points of the agreement be changed, it shall be replaced by one adapted to the changed circumstances.
10. cards and vouchers:Â
Our FlexiCards and vouchers. For single lessons, 2-card, 4-card, 8-card, new customer specials or vouchers, the lessons are bindingly agreed from appointment to appointment on site or online. The appointment must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the scheduled lesson will be forfeited. (This 24-hour rule does not apply to our contracts for regular weekly singing lessons). Tickets for 2, 4 and 8 lessons, new customer specials and vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Any remaining amount will not be refunded. 2, 4 and 8 tickets, new customer specials and vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue!
11. recordings:Â
Recording and/or recording the online voice lessons given is permitted in consultation with the vocal coach as long as the recording is used for personal learning development. All exploitation rights for the resulting material are subject to CK Voice Lessons without restriction. The distribution and publication of recorded video material from CK Voice Lessons is prohibited and will be prosecuted.
Terms and Conditions – CK Voice Lessons Workshops
1. Scope, Provider
These Terms and Conditions apply to all workshops offered by CK Voice Lessons (hereinafter „Organizer“), which are offered to consumers (Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB))—regardless of whether the booking is made online, by email, or in person. Any deviating terms and conditions of the participants shall not apply unless the Organizer expressly agrees to their validity in writing.
2. Eligibility Requirements, Personal Responsibility, Minors
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. This means not to a limitation of statutory warranty and liability rights. Minors may participate only with the consent of their legal guardian; the duty of supervision remains with the legal guardians, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
3. Conclusion of the Contract
By submitting the booking, the participant makes a binding offer. The contract is concluded upon receipt of the booking confirmation in writing (e.g., via email). For workshops designated as events organized by a third-party provider, the organizer facilitates the registration; the contract is then concluded with the third-party provider, whose terms and conditions apply.
4. Prices, Payment Terms, Installment Payments
The prices shown at the time of booking apply, including the applicable sales tax, if any, for the service. The participation fee is due upon conclusion of the contract. No discount is available. If the participant defaults on payment, the statutory rules regarding default shall apply.
Installment payments (optional):
- Payment in installments is available—provided it is offered during checkout or agreed upon individually.
- The first installment is due immediately; additional installments are due on the dates specified.
- If a payment is past due, the following will apply until it is paid: no (additional) benefits provided; the organizer may Total outstanding balance after a reminder make payment due (statutory rights remain unaffected).
- Your spot is only guaranteed if you pay the first installment by the deadline.
Permissible Payment methods arise from the booking process.
5. No statutory right of withdrawal for time-specific recreational events
For workshop contracts that provide for the provision of services related to recreational activities on a specific date or during a specific period, the following applies: No statutory right of withdrawal (Section 312g(2)(9) of the German Civil Code (BGB)). Information regarding this is provided during the ordering process. For services not tied to a specific date (e.g., gift certificates with no expiration date), the statutory cancellation rules apply.
6. Cancellation and Changes by the Organizer
Cancellation and Changes by the Organizer Cancellation and Changes by the Organizer The organizer may cancel or reschedule the workshop for good cause (e.g., illness of the instructors, official order, force majeure, failure to meet the minimum number of participants). In such cases, fees already paid will be refunded in full; no further claims (e.g., reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs) may be made. A change in instructors or minor program changes do not entitle participants to withdraw, provided that the overall nature of the workshop remains unchanged.
Minimum number of participants: If reported, it is usually 6Â People. A decision on whether the event will take place will be made no later than 7 days before the scheduled date.
7. Content, Documents, Copyright
Lecture notes, handouts, grades, exercise materials, and other documents are protected by copyright and are intended exclusively for personal use. Any distribution, publication, modification, or commercial use requires the prior consent of the organizer or the copyright holder. Information and content from workshops do not replace individual consultation; liability for their practical application exists only within the scope of Section 10.
8. Photo, Audio, and Video Recordings
Participants are not permitted to take photos or videos without prior consent.
Recordings made by the organizer (e.g., for internal documentation or Marketing purposes) are made exclusively on the basis of a separate, voluntary consent of the individuals concerned. Consent may at any time, with future effect will be revoked. For marketing purposes, the organizer provides a separate Consent Form (see attachment) Ready.
9. Liability Liability
A disclaimer of liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, as well as for willful misconduct and gross negligence, applies not ... Furthermore, in the event of a breach of duty due to slight negligence, the organizer shall be liable only for breaches of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
10. Travel, Meals, Equipment
Travel to and from the event, as well as lodging, are at the participants’ own expense and responsibility. Any meals are provided only if they are expressly listed in the program. Requirements regarding equipment to be brought (e.g., writing materials, instruments) will be communicated in advance.
11. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates (fixed-amount certificates):
- transferable; No cash payout.
- Validity is determined by the statutory limitation period (regularly 3 years (starting at the end of the purchase year).
- Redemption for available workshops/services; Price Changes We reserve the right to make changes; any discrepancies must be resolved.
Appointment/Service Vouchers (for a specific workshop or appointment):
- Transferability for a substitute until 24 hours Possible before the start.
12. Consumer Dispute Resolution Consumer Dispute Resolution
The organizer is neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Section 36 VSBG). The EU’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was established to 20.07.2025 posted.
13. Data Protection
The following applies: Privacy Policy the organizer's terms and conditions, as currently in effect.
14. Final Provisions
German law applies, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. With respect to consumers, this choice of law applies only to the extent that it does not deprive the consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the EU member state in which the consumer has his or her habitual residence. Should any individual provisions be invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
AGB - CKVL Recording Sessions
1. Scope, Provider, Participation
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to CKVL Recording Sessions from CK Voice Lessons(hereinafter „Organizer/Studio“) with respect to consumers (Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB)), regardless of whether the booking is made online, by email, or in person. Any deviating terms and conditions of the participants shall not apply unless the Organizer expressly agrees to their validity in writing. Minors require the Consent legal representation.
2. Offers and Services
All offers are subject to change. Prices are, where applicable, including sales tax. Additional services (e.g., additional takes, editing, mix/master packages, video options) are subject to separate fees; prices are prior to implementation confirmed in writing.
3. Conclusion of the Contract
By submitting the booking, the participant makes a binding offer. The contract is concluded upon receipt of the Booking Confirmation (An email is sufficient.).
4. Prices, Payment, Late Payment
The participation/production fee is due upon conclusion of the contract and must be paid within the time limit specified in the invoice. Permissible Payment methods are determined by the booking process. No discount will be applied. If the participant falls into default, the statutory rules regarding default shall apply.

- The first installment is due immediately; additional installments are due on the dates specified.

5. Deadlines, Service Provision, Acceptance/Handover
Admission takes place on agreed-upon date and—if booked—includes editing, mixing, and mastering to the extent specified in the contract. The service is considered rendered as soon as the Audio/Video Files were made available through an appropriate channel (e.g., a download link). Any rescheduling for valid reasons (e.g., illness, force majeure) will be communicated as soon as possible.
7. Right of Withdrawal – Information
For time-sensitive Recording sessions as Recreational Event exists No statutory right of withdrawal (Section 312g(2)(9) of the German Civil Code (BGB)). In the case of individual Recordings or services produced according to the customer's specifications (e.g., custom mix/master) are also subject to the right of withdrawal not applicable (Section 312g(2)(1) of the German Civil Code (BGB)). We provide information about this during the ordering process.
8. Rights to Recordings, References
Upon full payment, the participant will receive the contractually agreed Recordings one a simple right of use with no time or geographical restrictions for personal use and—if agreed—for one's own non-exclusive publication (e.g., on their own social media channels). Commercial Uses (e.g., distribution, monetization, label release) require a separate agreement. Copyright and related rights (in particular, the rights of performing artists and, where applicable, the rights of phonogram producers) remain unaffected.
Use of the recordings by the organizer for Marketing purposes is carried out exclusively on the basis of a separate, voluntary consent (See the attachment „Consent to the Use of Photos, Audio, and Video“).
9. On-Site Filming, Studio Rules
Participants must follow the house/studio rules. Participants are responsible for securing any instruments or equipment they bring with them. Travel to and from the venue, as well as lodging, are at the participants’ own expense and responsibility.
